Speed up your computer with ReadyBoost

ReadyBoost can speed up your computer by using storage space on most USB flash drives and flash memory cards.

1. Plug a flash drive or flash memory card into your computer.
2. In the Autoplay dialog box, under General options, click Speed up my system.
3. In the Properties dialog box, click the ReadyBoost tab, and then do one of the following:
   • To turn ReadyBoost off, click Do not use this device.
   • To use the maximum available space on the flash drive or memory card for ReadyBoost, click Dedicate this device to ReadyBoost. Windows will leave any files already stored on the device, but it'll use the rest to boost your system speed.
   • To use less than the maximum available space on the device for ReadyBoost, click Use this device, and then move the slider to choose the amount of available space on the device you want to use.

      • If AutoPlay doesn't open, it might be disabled. For more information, see Troubleshoot AutoPlay problems.

      • For ReadyBoost to effectively speed up your computer, the flash drive or memory card should have at least 1 gigabyte (GB) of available space. If your drive or card doesn't have enough available space for ReadyBoost, you'll see a message telling you to free some space on it. For best results, use a flash drive or flash memory card with at least double the amount of available space as the amount of memory (RAM) in your computer.
   
   

Use the computer's disk cleanup

Disk cleanup tool deletes unnecessary or temporary files on your hard disk so you can increase the amount of storage space you have. 

If you want to reduce the number of unnecessary files on your hard disk to free up disk space and help your computer run faster, use Disk Cleanup. It removes temporary files, empties the Recycle Bin, and removes a variety of system files and other items that you no longer need. For more information about deleting files from the Recycle Bin, 

By the following steps you can clean your disk.


1.Go to the computer's properties.
2.Now, click on Performance and Information Tool.
3.Click on open disk cleanup.
4.Then, select the drive which you want to clean and click ok.

Hide Files in Image Files

• You require WinRAR installed on your PC for this trick.
• First add your files to .rar and i.e. say files.rar
• Say you have a image as img.jpg
• Now, save files.rar and img.jpg in c:\ drive.
• Click start >> Run
• Type cmd
•  Now in command prompt type cd..
• Again type cd..
•  Type copy /b img.jpg + files.rar new.jpg

-------------- Please Note --------------

>> This command will concatenate the two files into the new file new.jpg
>> Don't type files.rar + img.jpg instead of img.jpg + files.rar.
>> Now, (size of new.jpg) = (size of img.jpg) + (size of files.rar) .

Accessing the files :

Double click new.jpg and img.jpg can be viewed.

Change Your Ip In Less Then 1 Minute

In this post i shall tell to you that how you can change your ip approx. 1 minute.This trick is very cool.

1. Click on "Start" in the bottom left hand corner of screen
2. Click on "Run"
3. Type in "command" and hit ok

You should now be at an MSDOS prompt screen.

4. Type "ipconfig /release" just like that, and hit "enter"
5. Type "exit" and leave the prompt
6. Right-click on "Network Places" or "My Network Places" on your desktop.
7. Click on "properties"

You should now be on a screen with something titled "Local Area Connection", or something close to that, and, if you have a network hooked up, all of your other networks.

8. Right click on "Local Area Connection" and click "properties"
9. Double-click on the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" from the list under the "General" tab
10. Click on "Use the following IP address" under the "General" tab
11. Create an IP address (It doesn't matter what it is. I just type 1 and 2 until i fill the area up).
12. Press "Tab" and it should automatically fill in the "Subnet Mask" section with default numbers.
13. Hit the "Ok" button here
14. Hit the "Ok" button again

You should now be back to the "Local Area Connection" screen.

15. Right-click back on "Local Area Connection" and go to properties again.
16. Go back to the "TCP/IP" settings
17. This time, select "Obtain an IP address automatically"

20. You now have a new IP address

3. Now format the partition,whether it is normal or quick with NTFS or FAT
4. Once the formatting is completed, All the setup files required for installation are copied. Restart your system by pressing Enter.
5. Now here begins the simple trick to save 15 minutes.
6. After rebooting , you get a screen where it takes 40 minutes to complete or finalize OS installation
7. now press Shift + F10 Key. This opens command Prompt.
8. Enter "taskmgr" at the command prompt window. This will open task manager
9. Click the process Tab, here we find a process called Setup.exe . Right click on Setup.exe-> Set priority - > Select High or Above normal. Initially it will be Normal

Hack Software and Run the Trial Program Forever

In this post, I will show you how to hack a Software and run the trial program forever. Most of us are familiar with many software programs that run only for a specified period of time in the trial mode. Once the trial period is expired, these programs stop functioning and demand for a purchase. However, there is a way to run the software programs so that they function beyond the trial period. Isn’t this interesting?

Well, before I tell you how to hack the software and make it run in the trial mode forever, we will have to first understand how the licensing scheme of these programs work. I’ll try to explain this in brief.

When the software programs are installed for the first time, they make an entry into the Windows Registry with the details such as Installed Date and Time, installed path etc. After the installation, every time you run the program, it compares the current system date and time with the installed date and time. With this, it can make out whether the trial period is expired or not.

So, with this being the case, just manually changing the system date to an earlier date will not solve the problem. For this purpose there is a small tool known as RunAsDate.

RunAsDate is a small utility that allows you to run a program in the date and time that you specify. This utility doesn’t change the current system date, but it only injects the date/time that you specify into the desired application.

RunAsDate intercepts the kernel API calls that returns the current date and time (GetSystemTime, GetLocalTime, GetSystemTimeAsFileTime), and replaces the current date/time with the date/time that you specify. It works with Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista and 7.

 NOTE: FOLLOW THESE TIPS CAREFULLY:

You will have to follow these tips carefully to successfully hack a software and make it run in it’s trial mode forever:

1. Note down the date and time, when you install the software for the first time.
2. Once the trial period expires, you must always run the software using RunAsDate.
3. After the trial period is expired, do not run the software(program) directly. If you run the software directly even once, this hack may no longer work.
4. It is better and safe to inject the date of the last day in the trial period.

For example, if the trial period expires on jan 30 2009, always inject the date as jan 29 2009 in the RunAsDate. I hope this helps! Please express your experience and opinions through comments.

Make the windows 7 Genuine

Most of you might be aware of the fact that it is possible to use Windows 7 and Vista for 120 days without activation. This is actually possible using the slmgr -rearm command which will extend the grace period from 30 days to 120 days.

However, in this post I will show you a small trick using which it is possible to use Windows 7 without activation for approximately an year! Here is a way to do that.

Step-1. Go to “Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories“.

Right click on the “Command Prompt” and select “Run as Administrator“. If you are not the administrator, then you are prompted to enter the password, or else you can proceed to step-2.

Step-2. Now type the following command and hit Enter:

                       slmgr -rearm 

Step-3. You will be prompted to restart the computer. Once restarted, the trial period will once again be reset to 30 days. You can use the above command for up to 3 times by which you can extend the trial period to 120 days without activation.

Step-4. Now comes the actual trick by which you can extend the trial period for another 240 days. To do this, open the Registry Editor (type regedit in “Run” and hit Enter) and navigate to the following location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform

 

Step-5. In the right-side pane, change value of SkipRearm to 1.

Step-6. Now, you should be able to use the slmgr -rearm command for another 8 times so that you can skip the activation process for another 240 days. So you will get 120 + 240 = 360 days of free Windows 7 usage

120 days using “slmgr -rearm” command before registry edit+
240 days using “slmgr -rearm” command after registry edit
=      360 Days

Easy Way to Take Ownership of Files and Folders in Windows 7 manually

you are a Windows 7 user, then you are most likely to be aware of the fact that you need to TAKE OWNERSHIP of files and folders before you can make any changes to them. This feature was introduced first in Windows Vista and later in Windows 7 in order to prevent any unauthorized changes from being made to the system files.

 How to take the Ownership Manually?

In case if you are interested to know how to take the ownership manually, here is how you can do that:

1. Right-click the file or folder on which you want to take the ownership and then click on Properties.
2. Now go to the Security tab, 
3. click on Advanced button 
4. then click the Owner tab.
5. Now, click on Edit and do the following:
   • Under the Change owner to: section, select the user or group to which you would like to grant the permissions. 
   • Then click on the OK button.
   • If the user or the group to which you would like to grant permissions is not listed under the Change owner to: section, just click on Other users and groups and, under Enter the object name to select (examples), type the name of the user or group. click OK.
6. Now you should get the confirmation dialog box stating that the ownership is granted.

The Run command on Microsoft Windows operating system allows you to directly open an application or document with just a single command instead of navigating to it’s location and double-clicking the executable icon. However, it only works for some of the inbuilt Windows programs such as Command prompt (cmd), Calculator (calc) etc.

So, have you ever wondered how to create your own customized Run commands for accessing your favorite programs, files and folders? Well, read on to find out the answer.

Creating the Customized Run Command:

Let me take up an example of how to create a customized run command for opening the Internet explorer. Once you create this command, you should be able to open the Internet explorer just by typing ie in the Run dialog box. Here is how you can do that.

1. Right-click on your Desktop and select New -> Shortcut.
2. You will see a “Create Shortcut” Dialog box as shown below
   
   
   
3. Click on “Browse”, navigate to: Program Files -> Internet Explorer from your Root drive (usually C:\) and select “iexplore” as shown in the above figure and click on “OK”.
4. Now click on Next and type any name for your shortcut. You can choose any name as per your choice; this will be your customized Run command. In this case I name my shortcut as “ie“. Click on Finish.
5. You will see a shortcut named ie on your desktop. All you need to do is just copy this shortcut and paste it in your Windows folder (usually “C:/Windows”). Once you have copied the shortcut onto your Windows folder, you can delete the one on your Desktop.
6. That’s it! From now on, just open the Run dialog box, type ie and hit Enter to open the Internet Explorer.

In this way you can create customized Run commands for any program of your choice. Say ff for Firefox, ym for Yahoo messenger, wmp for Windows media player and so on.

To do this, when you click on “Browse” in the Step-3, just select the target program’s main executable (.exe) file which will usually be located in the C:\Program Files folder. Give a simple and short name for this shortcut as per your choice and copy the shortcut file onto the Windows folder as usual. Now just type this short name in the Run dialog box to open the program.

How to Enable or Disable Hibernate option in Windows 7?

Enabling or Disabling the “Hibernate” option in Windows 7 or Vista is not as simple as it used to be in Windows XP. For Windows 7 a different approach has to be followed to accomplish the same job. In this post you will find how to enable or disable the Hibernate option in Windows 7.

Hibernation is a power saving option which was designed primarily for laptops. Unlike “sleep mode” which puts the open documents and files into the memory, hibernation puts all the open files and documents on to the hard disk and shuts down the computer without drawing even a small amount of power. Thus hibernation becomes an excellent way to save power and resume Windows back to the state where it was left off. If you really want to use this feature on Windows 7 then you need to enable this option. This can be done as follows.

 

 

 

1. Open the Command Prompt with “Administrator rights”. To do so, type cmd in Start menu and then hit Ctrl+Shift+Enter.

2. Now type the following command in the command prompt and hit Enter.

powercfg /hibernate on

3. Type exit and hit Enter to close the Command Prompt. Now you should see the “Hibernate” option in the Start menu. If not then perform the following steps.

A. Type Power Options in the Start menu and hit Enter.

B. In the left pane, open the link labeled “Change when the computer sleeps” and then open the link “Change advanced power settings”.

Now a small window will pop-up as shown below:

 

C. Now expand the Sleep tree and turn off Allow Hybrid Sleep as shown in the above screenshot.

D. Now you should see the Hibernate option in the Start menu.

Delete the autorun virus without antivirus

This file makes the drives not when we try to open it or when we try to rename the drive it won’t. This file is used by most of the virus authors to reside there work even after the user remove all the viruses from their computer. This file give lots of annoiences. Basically it usally used to call or run the viruses frequently. This file can also be used to work as i said above. To remove this type of files from your computer do the following steps:-


1. Click start and then run

2. Type cmd to open up the command prompt.
3. Change your directory to any on off your directory by using syntax driveletter: For example d:
4. Then type the command attrib in the prompt it display the list of executable files in the current directory.
5. Check whether autorun.inf file is present or not.
6. If not then you are lucky.
7. If present then you have to follow all the following steps to remove that file.
8. First you have to remove the power it is having for ex read only attribute etc…
9. The attribute depends on viruses.
10. One common step to remove all its properties is type the following command in the command prompt:-     attrib -s -h -r autorun.inf 11. -s to remove its system attribute, -h to remove its hidden attribute and -r to remove the read only attribute.
12. You can use this steps to remove any of the files which has this properties.
13. Remember before doing the above steps you have to remove all the viruses form your computer. I recommend avast home edition which is free and 100% perfect. If you haven’t clean the viruses first clean it because after you delete this file it will automatically creates it without your knowledge.
14. Then type the following command:-  del autorun.inf.
15. Now you have successfully deleted the file after you deleted the file restart your computer or remove your pendrive and plug it again.
In this way you can remove that file.

Any name will do.
Then you see a batch file. Double click on this batch file to create a folder locker.
New folder named ‘Locker’ would be formed at the same location.
Now bring all the files you want to hide in the ‘Locker’ folder. Double click on the batch file to lock the folder namely ‘Locker’.
If you want to unlock your files,double click the batch file again and you would be prompted for password.
Enter the password and enjoy access to the folder.

How to Firebox to make it faster

Now a lot of us have found the ’secrets’ on how to manipulate settings in “about:config” to drop the memory usage as long as possible and to increase the speed at which Firefox loads sites. Read on to find out how to do this.

Reduce the amount of RAM Firefox uses for it’s cache feature\

Here’s how to do it:
1. Type “about:config” (no quotes) in the adress bar in the browser.click on I'll be careful,I promise!
2. Find “browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewer”
3. Set it’s value to “0“;(Zero)

Increase the Speed in Which Firefox loads pages

1. Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit Enter.
(Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.
2.Locate the line browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs . (tip: press "b" on your keyboard to quick scroll).
3.Double click on browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs . This will set its toggle to "true". Now your advanced and enhanced tabbing should be set.
        Note: in Firefox version 1.5, the command line is singlewindow.openintabs.
4. Alter the entries as follows:
Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”
Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”
Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 10.
This means it will make 10 requests at once.
5. Lastly, right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0“;.(Zero)
This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. If you’re using a broadband connection you’ll load pages faster now.
Optionally (for even faster web browsing) here are some more options for your about:config (you might have to create some of these entries by Right Click –> New– > Interger or String
network.dns.disableIPv6: set “false”
“content.notify.backoffcount”: set “5“; (Five)
“plugin.expose_full_path”: set “true”.
“ui.submenuDelay”: set “0; (zero)

Reduce RAM usage to 10mb when Firefox is minimized:

This little hack will drop Firefox’s RAM usage down to 10 Mb when minimized:
1. Open Firefox and go to the Address Bar. Type in about:config and then press Enter.
2. Right Click in the page and select New -> Boolean.
3. In the box that pops up enter “config.trim_on_minimize”. Press Enter.
4. Now select True and then press Enter.
5. Restart Firefox.
These simple tweaks will make your web browsing with Mozilla Firefox 2-3 times faster and easier. And I think they are fairly easy to apply. Enjoy!

how to hide the disk via command prompt

In this post,I am going to discuss how to hide the hard disk and disk drives in windows by command prompt.there are many types of software you can use to hide the diskdrives.

But we can’t able to download due to some reasons like low internet speed.

So today we are going to hide disk drive via command prompt.

I also tried this and this is 100% working.

 

So here is the procedure

First of all click on the start menu and type cmd. Now run the command prompt.

1. After opening cmd prompt, you have to type the following command cd\. After this type 

              cd windows/system32.press enter.

 

2. Now type diskpart and after this  diskpart window will opens. 

3.Now type list volume it will show all your hard drive partitions

4.  Now select any of the hard disk volume you want to hide like this select letter f.

5.  Now a message will appear as volume 4 is the selected volume.

6.  Now type remove letter f.

7.  Now your hard drive is hidden.

8.  To unhide it again repeats the step 3 like this select volume 4.

9.  Then type assign letter f.

  

This is the simple procedure:
